A: When you consider that a Honda lasts longer than practically any other car, Honda parts sometimes make the most sense. All my Hondas have lasted more than 300,000 miles and without costing me an arm and a leg. Each time I replaced parts with aftermarket parts, I ended up replacing them again and again. Believe me, I was certainly sorry I bought a remanufactured alternator thinking it would save me money… sure, it saved me money alright but boy was I glad it came with a lifetime warranty! Three units later and a heated discussion with the shop manager over how it wasn’t my car eating alternators and I finally got an alternator that lasted. It just wasn’t worth it.

Suspension parts are particularly prone to wear when they aren’t Honda parts.

So, if you are prepping a car to sell it, going with aftermarket parts makes sense. If you plan to repair the car to keep for yourself, original Honda parts will serve you better. Here’s where I get mine:

A: pros = genuine honda parts, most come with a warranty
cons – super expensive, labor for them at the honda dealership even more expensive

you should be more specific on what parts you need, everything you need for your engine doesnt have to be a honda part..

A: Honda parts are not cheap because HOnda builds really good cars. If I were you, I woudl not buy an aftermarket part. YOu may be sorry. You might be able to find a used fuel pump at an auto wrecker or salvage yard.

i’m looking for honda parts but the dealership sells them for way too much and someone recommended the site, Majestic Honda, to me.

A: You may have to search cycle salvage yards.Here is one to try:”Bills cycle salvage”located in White City,Oregon.The “foreward controls” your needing may only be found as a “universal” fit option.Check JC Whitney motorcycle catalog.Some may laugh,but its probably your best bet.Good luck.

Q: How can I make my Lifan 200cc sport bike faster? it Honda based engine and Honda parts compatible.?
it is a 200cc sport bike and has a displacement of 197cc.

A: I know you can swap out the carburetor from a Honda 200. First I would try moving the clip on the carb needle down one notch or shim it with a really small washer, Maybe turn out the mixture screw 1/2 turn, open up the air box and run a 1/2 drill bit into the exhaust opening.
