Q: Honda Parts?
Anyone know a good website that has a good selection of Honda genuine parts that would deliver to ireland apart from ebay thanks..

A: Hi dear which Honda parts you are looking for Car ,Gen set, motor bike?

Q: Where can I find clip of Honda parts as dominoes?
Trying to find a video clip which was a promotion for a European Honda, where the auto parts are lined up like dominoes and sequentially interact with each other in Rube Goldberg fashion. I saw this clip about three years ago. Thanks.

A: do a search for honda cog.

Q: Where to buy OEM Honda Parts online at a good price?
I need to buy some Honda parts online and I tried Honda Automotive Parts and Honda Parts Now but both of them are charging over 30 dollars for shipping small parts because they use Fedex. Anyone know of a store with a good selection of Honda parts with good prices and more shipping options?

A: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=215070

Q: Where do I buy Honda aftermarket parts in NYC?
i’m looking into buying a rear subframe brace and front sway bar for my EK. Can you recommend any shops that sells aftermarket honda parts in New York.

thanks in anticipation.

A: go online and u prob can find a nopi, summit racing stores
we got alot in atlanta cus the underground racing scene is hott idk about new york do yall have street races

Q: How do I get to be a distributor for Toyota or Honda parts?
The problem I faced with my cars revealed how difficult it is to obtain geniune Toyota/honda part. I want to have a dealership in this line of business.

A: I don’t think you want to handle toyota parts as the way there going they will be out of business in the future.

Q: Looking for a good salvage yard around Phoenix (want Honda parts)?
I just moved here and I don’t know the area. Are there any good junkyards to get some parts for my 90 Honda?

A: Just about anywhere on broadway, near 35th ave. I cant remember the name but the place next to “WE BUY SCRAP”
I’ll get more info for you. what kind of honda do you have?
I might be able to help with something.

Q: What is the cheapest website for high quality honda/acura parts?
I am looking for parts for my acura legend and my honda element.

A: When you consider that a Honda lasts longer than practically any other car, Honda parts sometimes make the most sense. All my Hondas have lasted more than 300,000 miles and without costing me an arm and a leg. Each time I replaced parts with aftermarket parts, I ended up replacing them again and again. Believe me, I was certainly sorry I bought a remanufactured alternator thinking it would save me money… sure, it saved me money alright but boy was I glad it came with a lifetime warranty! Three units later and a heated discussion with the shop manager over how it wasn’t my car eating alternators and I finally got an alternator that lasted. It just wasn’t worth it.

Suspension parts are particularly prone to wear when they aren’t Honda parts.

So, if you are prepping a car to sell it, going with aftermarket parts makes sense. If you plan to repair the car to keep for yourself, original Honda parts will serve you better. Here’s where I get mine:

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Q: When are they going to come out with 06 Honda civic parts?
I have a 2006 Honda Civic Ex which is stock right now. I’m having a hard time looking at the stock stuff that can be changed out. I need to know when are they going to come out with parts.

A: it usually takes 8 months to a year for aftermarket suppliers to devoleop and manufacture parts on a new year.

Q: What is the best place to get honda parts?
I have an old scooter, elite ch80, what is the best/cheapest place to get parts online?

A: I started using this web site a few months ago for my motorcycle parts. They were less expensive, fast and even have live support.
www.bikebandit.com

Q: Should a car newbie sticking with Genuine honda car parts or go for aftermarket parts?
I have an 2001 Honda Accord LX 4-cyl, and sooner or later I will be confronted to purchase car parts for my car. My question is should I stick with all genuine honda parts or go for the aftermarket parts? If so, what are the pros and cons of it?
I have an 2001 Honda Accord LX 4-cyl, and sooner or later I will be confronted to purchase car parts for my car. My question is should I stick with all genuine honda parts or go for the aftermarket parts? If so, what are the pros and cons of it (especially on brake rotors/pad, spark plugs, air filter, and auto transmission fluid ).

A: pros = genuine honda parts, most come with a warranty
cons – super expensive, labor for them at the honda dealership even more expensive

you should be more specific on what parts you need, everything you need for your engine doesnt have to be a honda part..

Q: getting replacement parts for my 1996 honda accord?
I want to replace some small parts such as the handles on the cieling inside the car. washers, carpet etc… I wanted to know where i can find honda stock products for my 96 honda accord lx 4 cylinder.

Possibly a junk yard in southern california. I live in LA. or an online site that has all the honda original parts..?

Any help would be great!

A: www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

this is a great reputable site.

Q: were is a cheap place to get honda parts?
honda 1991 v4 civic ex , an i need a fuel pump “in tank” Napa Auto parts wants $179.00 an well thats just suxs lol
in looking for something a little cheaper like hole sale, not generic or used

A: Honda parts are not cheap because HOnda builds really good cars. If I were you, I woudl not buy an aftermarket part. YOu may be sorry. You might be able to find a used fuel pump at an auto wrecker or salvage yard.

Q: Does Majestic Honda sell true OEM parts?
i’m looking for honda parts but the dealership sells them for way too much and someone recommended the site, Majestic Honda, to me.
I’m just wondering if Majestic Honda sells true OEM parts as the dealerships do?
I’m a bit hesitant because they sell it for so cheap.
I just want to make sure I’m gettng OEM items, and not aftermarket.
Thanks.

A: Yep, they are legit. You can also try http://www.collegehillshonda.com/ , they have cheap OE as well.

Q: How do I find parts for an older Honda cruiser?
I have an 1988 VLX600 Shadow that has low miles and is in great condition, but I would like to make it a little more appealing and confortable for longer rides. I know Honda had OEM parts for customizing the footpegs & extending them forward. I can no longer find parts listings for this older bike

A: You may have to search cycle salvage yards. Here is one to try:”Bills cycle salvage”located in White City,Oregon. The “foreward controls” your needing may only be found as a “universal” fit option.Check JC Whitney motorcycle catalog. Some may laugh, but its probably your best bet.Good luck.

Q: How can I make my Lifan 200cc sport bike faster? it Honda based engine and Honda parts compatible.?
it is a 200cc sport bike and has a displacement of 197cc.

A: I know you can swap out the carburetor from a Honda 200. First I would try moving the clip on the carb needle down one notch or shim it with a really small washer, Maybe turn out the mixture screw 1/2 turn, open up the air box and run a 1/2 drill bit into the exhaust opening.

To wiggysan with the comment of “when did Honda make a 200″ There are 4 Honda 200’s within 10 feet of me.

Q: What’s the best place to buy parts (online) for a 1982 Honda C-70 Passport?
I’ve just purchased a 1982 Honda C-70 (Passport) and I’m having a little bit of a struggle finding an online retailer for after-market (or original) parts. I’ve looked on eBay but I had hoped to find a site more centered toward the Passport / Cub series. Does anyone here have any reputable sites they wish to share?

A: Go on the japanese ebay!!!!

Q: What is the best place to buy parts online for a 1985 Honda Elite CH250?
I’m looking for a reliable and user friendly web site to find replacement parts for my 1985 Honda Elite 250. Thanks

A: Gosh, good luck with that! Honda only makes a limited number of parts for that still… I’ve found a decent number of used parts on Ebay for my 1985 CH 150, and you can still also order *some* new parts from Honda. I’ve had a difficult time finding parts, so I think I’m gonna put your question on my watchlist…

In Northern California, I’ve found this place…
http://www.ranchomotorcycle.com/ I was looking for a spring for the pegs, and it was ridiculously priced, so I didn’t purchase it… They had it though…

And you might be able to find other motorcycle dismantlers…. They’re tough parts to find too… I did just see a partial Elite on Craigslist too… I’d keep my eye out for another scoot for the parts!! Good luck!

Q: Anyone know where a person can get 68 honda scrambler125a parts online?
what im lookin for is 68 honda CL125 A parts such as headlight bucket kickstart shaft spindle turn signals, brake light repair manual

A: I’ve had good luck ordering old parts from these guys. Make sure you order the right color headlight case.

http://www.mrcycles.com/

Q: places to get cheap car parts online (honda)?

A: you can go to this web site ,,and find anything you want,,its ,,autopartswarehouse.com, they have anything you,ll need and it cheap, and original parts also,,good luck.

Q: Honda Civic Parts Online?
I’d like to buy an original radio panel for a 2004 Civic Hybrid, but I cannot find any website selling it. Neither could find other little interior parts like AC knobs, etc.
Any suggestions…?

A: try slhondaparts.com, I’ve had real good luck with them

Q: Where to buy used car parts online?
I’m looking for a site where I can get used parts for a 97 Honda Civic online, I’ve already tried and used eBay and CraigsList. So if anyone knows of any other sites that would be great.

A: EBAYMOTORS.COM

Q: Where can I find parts online for my 1998 Honda 300 Fourtrax 4X4 Atv?

A: try
www.denniskirk.com
www.jpcycles.com

Q: What is the best place to get honda parts?
I have an old scooter, elite ch80, what is the best/cheapest place to get parts online?

A: I started using this web site a few months ago for my motorcycle parts. They were less expensive, fast and even have live support.
www.bikebandit.com

Q: I would like to find a diagram of my car’s parts online. What is the web address for a 1993 honda del sol Si?
Specifically looking for suspension

A: Try this site…

Q: where to get aftermarket honda car parts? (local vs online)?
I’m trying to stay clear of the honda dealership. I need a rear bumper & tire cover for a 1999 honda cr-v but together it will cost me around $500+ from them. So F that, on ebay the bumper is really cheap ($25-$50) and about $80 to ship, a lot cheaper but will I be getting legit parts?
Good quality that will surely fit?
How can I find a local place that sells this kind of stuff?
Can anyone recommend from past experiences a place (online or in southern california LA county) for me to get these aftermarket parts?

A: did you ever think about the salvage yards?, sometimes they get a vehicle in thats been wrecked and some of the stuff is still good on it. maybe you can get what you need there, or get a jc whitney book and see what they have.

Q: Name at least 1 online store that sells Honda OEM parts and ships worldwide?
I live in Brazil and I need a pair of front shock absorbers to my 95 civic and the local dealer sells them for US$250 A PIECE. Even if I pay 100% in import taxes it still might be way cheaper.
mccoy,
Yes I know there is no “HONDA SHOCK ABSORBER CO.” and BTW, Monroe makes honda OEM shock absorbers for the year of my car. That said, could you answer my question rather than writing something that is useless to me?

A: I would recommend The Parts Bin.

http://www.thepartsbin.com/

They have a huge selection, good rates, and they offer worldwide shipping through a really reliable parcel forwarding service called Bongous. The process is simple, you can find your part, order it, sign up for international shipping, etc. right on the parts bin website.

Good Luck!

Q: Where is the best place online to get auto parts for an older honda civic1988 hatchback?

A: advance auto parts

Q: ware can i buy 1995 honda car part online?
I need the inside part that operates your window and makes it roll up and down. I need the whole part that makes your window go up and down on a 1995 honda accord dx. Manual part not electric

A: Where

Q: Where can I get parts for my 1980 Honda Express?
I need to get a couple replacement parts for my 1980 Honda Express and I am having problems finding a good online parts store to buy them from. Can you help me find someway to get parts, preferable new?

A: Have you tried a Honda dealer?

Q: looking for honda prelude 1991 used parts?
got this car need one wheel 14″ and one left back rear tail light lens and not sure if I can get them in San Diego or any one knows car parts junk yard in san diego?

A: Try car-part.com. They can probably hook you up. The truth is that new lenses are on a par with used ones.

Q: Best place to find new/used parts for 1981 Honda XR 250?
I have an older rat bike I’m trying to spiff up. Looking for old, out-of-stock items like seats, tanks, lights, suspension, etc, etc. New or used. Anyplace besides a Honda dealership. No luck there.
Currently searching eBay too. Thanks.

A: If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the usual places like -
http://www.mrcycles.com/
do a web search for “motorcycle salvage” or “motorcycle salvage dirt” they’ll only deal in dirt bikes.

Q: does anybody know where to get cheap new and used honda knight hawk 250 parts?

A: I bought a used Is 250 in Delaware last month and saved some cash. I haven’t had any problems yet. I only buy used cars. http://www.findusedcardealer.com

Q: Can I use Honda parts for my Lifan Motorcycle?

A: basically, yes but not all parts will fit in your lifan.

Q: Where can I sell my used Honda Ridgleline trailer hitch to?
I want to sell my Honda Ridgeline trailer hitch but I don’t want to ship it because it costs way too much. I was wondering if there was a website that would buy used car parts or if any one knows if a body shop would possibly buy it? Thanks

A: put it on craigslist as it’s free and make the buyer pay the shipping.

Q: where can I find used parts for a 1983 honda cb1000 Custom?
I need a rear brake caliper and other odd and end stuff
I HAVE BEEN ON E-BAY NOTHING THERE THIS IS A RARE BIKE ONLY A FEW MADE

A: Type “motorcycle salvage (your state)” into your browser and do a search for salvage yards in your area.

Q: looking for used parts for my 88 honda crx!!?
looking for performance parts like turbo etc..and also used body kits..thanks for helpfull info

A: Body kits suck.Get a lip kit at the most.
http://www.nfcperformance.com/honda-lipkits-c-729_822_815.html

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CRX-90-91-P1-STYLE-ABS-PLASTIC-REAR-LIP_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247QQcategoryZ36475QQihZ002QQitemZ120074372328QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

BTW don’t put a turbo in it unless you’ve swapped in something like a b16 first.

Q: Where to buy used car parts online?
I’m looking for a site where I can get used parts for a 97 Honda Civic online, I’ve already tried and used eBay and CraigsList. So if anyone knows of any other sites that would be great.

A: EBAYMOTORS.COM

Q: Are some parts on a 97 Honda Civic DX interchangeable with other Hondas?
In particular, I need just a few small parts like one of the horn button on the sterring wheel, visor, visor clips, AC register adjustment piece, drink holder cover, and door latch mounting bolts. Can I use parts from any honda civic around this year or even an accord?

A: u can use parts frm a 96-2000 civic..doesnt matter wheather its dx,ex,hx,coupe or hatch.theyre all the same.

Q: front end work on 2002 Honda CRV EX – used or new parts?
I ran sideways into a curb on ice and caused some damage to the passenger side front end. A visual inspection found the control arm was bent so I had it replaced. However, the vehicle could not be aligned within specs. I’ve had three separate shops tell me I the steering knuckle is bent, as well as the strut. The vehicle has 72,000 miles on it.

The options I have been given are:
- Buy a used strut and steering knuckle assembly. This will also include include a wheel hub and bearing and a ball joint.

- Use new parts which come as separate pieces – hub, hub bearing, ball joint, steering knuckle.

In either case I plan on having new struts and strut mounts installed on both sides.

The cost for using the used parts (w/new struts and mounts + alignment) is $870. The cost for new parts (w/new struts/mounts + alignment) is $1,500. The shops recommended going with the used parts for cost savings. I was told even if the wheel hub/bearing went bad in the future and had to be replaced it would still be cheaper than going with new parts.

I would appreciate any comments or recommendations.

A: for all the work involved go with new…hate to put in all that time/money and have a TOO used part and do job over

Q: new or used parts for 82 honda night halk cb650?

A: What kind of parts do you need? Got almost every honda made in our garage.

Q: used honda fireblade rrt motorcycle parts?

A: As opposed To ?????

Q: Please name a specific online source of inexpensive used or new Honda Rebel parts (not Ebay)?

A: http://www.mrcycles.com

http://www.ronayers.com

Q: I own a 1996 Honda Civic can I use parts from 1997 Honda Civic for replacements?
I need a hood and grill for my car but before I buy something I shop around Craigslist, Ebay etc… I found this hood and grill for an excellent price I just need some feedback to know if its going to fit my car.

A: Yes.. same exact car..

Q: Where can i find parts for a HONDA BIG RED 3 wheeler?
I need either the whole Drive Gear Set or the whole thingy that it goes in. Im not sure of the exact names. Can anyone tell me where to buy new or used parts?

Q: Honda Genuine Parts of Aftermarket?
I need to replace my distributor and my right front axle for my 1991 Honda Civic. Honda sells a distributor for $671, where I can get it aftermarket for around $430 (and some sites even show it for around $200). Honda will sell me the whole drive shaft for $330, where I can purchase just the axle for $95 from an aftermarket dealer. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

A: Personally I would go aftermarket if it is a trusted name. Dont go with cheap knockoffs.

Q: Does it matter whether or not you use genuine Honda brakes and batteries?
One of our Honda dealers told us that the brake noises we were hearing on my parents’ Honda Odyssey was due to the use of after-market brakes. We got the brakes done at our local Midas shop. We’ve taken our cars there for years, and they’ve always done a good job. Does it really matter if we use “Genuine Honda” parts for something as common as brakes? What about car batteries?

A: No, it shouldn’t matter. In some cases, I’ve had better results with aftermarket brake pads and batteries than the original.

Honda doesn’t make brake pads or batteries. They get them from outside suppliers. Its entirely possible they come from the same place Auto Zone, Midas, or NAPA gets them from.

Q: were can i buy some performace and other car parts for my honda civic?
okay i have a blue honda civic lx 4d sedan (everything is stock) i have tried to look for some Performance part but cant really find any, i dont think ima do an engine swap but i guess i might if i cant really find any thing

i dont really want to make that much HP only about 200 HP overall would be okay for me

also looking for genuine honda parts

thx

A: The only way for you to get 200hp reliably is to do a engine swap. Your car has 102hp in stock for and is a d15b7 engine, not that much aftermarket support. If you have a 5 spd you could do a h22 swap for around 2500. Motors can be found at hondamotorsonline.com , tiger japanese, passwordjdm.com, jhot , and many other places. Go to honda-tech.com and research

Q: Is http://hondasubaruparts.com/ legit? Because I plan to purchase Honda parts from it. Also, are they genuine? ?
I plan to purchase Honda parts from it. Also, are they genuine? This site sells parts cheap, but I don’t know if they are genuine. What if its a cheap knock-off? Has anyone purchased from this site before?

A: It looks legit, but I haven’t purchased anything from there…so I’m not 100% sure. I trust http://www.collegehillshonda.com/ they sell genuine parts, and they are great prices.

Q: 1986 honda vfr 700f parts?
looking for (if possible) cheaper parts than genuine honda parts. looking for a chain an sprocket kit. dealer quoted me 490.00 for both, 285.00 was the chain along. all the web sites i’ve found go by application, an dont go back to 1986. just wondering if someone knows of a website that deals with older bikes. bike is in mint condition to leave parked for something so easily fixed, without breaking the bank.

A: www.vfrworld.com

Q: Honda Parts?
Anyone know a good website that has a good selection of Honda genuine parts that would deliver to ireland apart from ebay thanks..

A: Hi dear which Honda parts you are looking for Car ,Gen set, motor bike?

Q: 2004 honda civic parts and acc…?
I just took over a 2004 civic 2 door ex and was wondering what websites offer honda only genuine parts? ive searched and found sites with other car makes as well but i just want honda only and couldnt find any………im looking for stuff like honda spoilers, emblems, etc. stuff like that any civic owners please help.

A: I use college hills honda.

www.collegehillshonda.com

You can choose accessories or go into the parts catalog from there.

Q: Must I use a genuine honda catalytic converter replacement on my 1999 accord. The Honda part is $800!?

A: no!you could defenity buy one aftermarket, they would be made in Taiwan rather then japan tho.they work just as good
as the genuine ones i replaced the complete exhaust system for the same car just before Christmas, from the manifold all the way back to the exhaust.just make sure you replace the gaskets with genuine ones and NOT aftermarket ones or it would leak emissions and would be very noisy, you might not
notice it at first but it will certainly happen.and don’t forget to apply gasket paste to two sides of the gasket.
brand new catalic converter with two gaskets alone cost me around $165 delivered .

Q: Honda XL70, 1974 Motorcycle Parts Needed!?
I’ve Honda XL70, 1974 model. I Love this motorcycle, I purchased this, when I was Bachelor & young. Now I’m 50, Now my children use to ride it too. I’m first owner, its still in my custody since 1974 till today means 36 years. I want to make it new, thats why I need genuine parts of this, here in pakistan parts are not available. So where from can I purchase genuine parts of Honda XL70.
2. Will Honda help me in this regard ? any bonus because I’m first owner, using it till today.

Kindly Help

A: I have a 1970 model, engine parts are easy to come by as they still make them, however if your looking for trim, such as fenders, exaust pipes, side covers, ect, good luck, and I’m in the US, best bet, try Ebay.

Q: If I had to sell genuine honda polish, what facts would make that sale happen?
I work in a parts department, and currently have a bet with my manager that if I sell 3 cans a day, he buys me food, if I don’t I buy him food.I know that it is discontinued, and that we are one of the few carriers of the product. It does what a wax job would do, all in a can. It does leave a protective layer. The polish will fill in scratches, take of grime, and dirt. What else do you have!?

A: Price – why is your product cheaper
Speed – what makes it faster to use your product
Effective – what makes your product more effective than other ways.

Focus on those 3 and you will make sales (if your product is superior). Ask more people to buy it.

If it is not superior make it superior by selling harder and more often.

Q: honda civic body parts?
where can i buy genuine honda front and rear bumpers and interior parts for my 97 hatch please help thanks

A: you got to go to honda directly there dealerships
they prolly have to check at there factory if they stock for that parts

Q: What is difference between a hub assembly and wheel bearing assembly?
I was told by the dealership that I need a new hub assembly due to an accident…Kragen/Orielly seems to be the only one who might have one in stock, but is the Beck Arnley brand. Never heard of it, but not a big car guy. How is this one compared to the Honda Genuine part or other parts.

2006 Honda Civic LX 4 door Sedan

BTW Beck Arnley – $72, honda 90, others are all over the place from 75-200 ish.

A: The hub is what the bearing goes in.

Q: Is Beck Arnley a good automotive parts brand?
I need a new hub assembly due to an accident…Kragen/Orielly seems to be the only one who might have one in stock, but is the Beck Arnley brand. Never heard of it, but not a big car guy. How is this one compared to the Honda Genuine part or other parts.

BTW Beck Arnley – $72, honda 90, others are all over the place from 75-200 ish.
2006 Honda Civic LX 4 door sedan
BTW What is the difference between a hub assembly and wheel bearing assembly??

A: For $90 I would go with honda OEM, They are guarantee’d to work well. Plus not really much differance in price. Plus last longer.

Good Luck.

Q: Why does Axle seal keeps leaking on Acura RSX?
I’ve replaced the driver side axle seal once with a genuine Honda Part and a second time I tried an aftermarket part. And it both cases it still leaks from the axle seal!!

Anybody else ever come across this issue? could it be something else?

A: never heard of any axle seal ever leaking on an Acura/Honda…have you tried contacting Honda Corp and asking them ???

Q: Need the part code for the Honda Jazz 1.4 Sport Sat Nav/Double Din Radio Bezel, or recommend for nonHonda part
Buying a Honda Jazz 1.4 Sport and want to fit my existing double-din sat-nav. Will need a dash board modification which used to be available (even shown in the Honda catalogue) but do not have a part code to be able to order one.
Unfortunately the Honda Main Dealer does not know of the code, even though there is a picture of the component in the car sales brochure and it is listed on the Honda Web site as a dealer fit option.

Q: what year is this neon?
does anyone know what year this dodge neon is?

http://www.hondaacuraautoparts.com/honda-acura-auto-parts-catalog/images/LSD-Door-Kits-Dodge-Neon-2.gif

A: A lemon no mattah how you age it or slice it.

Q: Is it worth tricking out / hooking up a Dodge Neon? If so, how much does it usually cost?
I’m thinking about getting a SRT-4 and hooking it up. I’ve seen some race and they’ve got a lot of power in them. How much would it cost (after buying the car) to make it look hot (lambo doors maybe, shiny paint, new lights, new hood, etc). I’ll have about a $6,000 budget after buying the car so I can’t get all the upgrades done but I can probably get a pretty decent job. What do y’all suggest?

Pic of potential car:

http://www.hondaacuraautoparts.com/honda-acura-auto-parts-catalog/images/LSD-Door-Kits-Dodge-Neon-2.gif

A: No. Never. Spend your money on something more useful. Like an education.

Q: Where to auto dealers get parts for cars no longer in production?
I have a ‘94 Honda Prelude which I am trying to buy factory parts for (interior console panels, factory stereo, etc.). I found that some Honda dealer’s websites have a parts department sectino where you can view the entire catalogue of parts and order what you need for any model year. My question is, if the car is no longer in production, where do these factory parts come from? Does Honda (or any auto maker for that matter) continue to manufactur OEM parts for their cars even if the car itself is no longer in production? The website I am visiting assures that the parts are 100% factory parts (and not produced by some third party manufacturer).

A: www.certifit.com
Now we call this Sorta Fit, but in all honesty they are very accurate and very affordable. I use there parts on my cars all the time and they look great. Also look at a company called KeyStone, little better fit on plastic parts but 2-3 times as much. Both of these companies will sell you the parts at wholesale price, pretty much what dealers themselves pay

Q: Do the honda dealers sell windshield wiper blades?
i would call in but they are closed right now. and do they sell cheaper than those at autozone?

driver : http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsProduct.jsp?itemIdentifier=570509_7293_0_2805&skuDescription=Rain-X+Weatherbeater+/+Wiper+Blade&brandName=Rain-X+Weatherbeater&displayName=Wiper+Blade&categoryNValue=14299999&sortType=&store=5541&isSearchByPartNumber=false&fromWhere=&fromString=search&counter=1&itemId=129-0&navValue=14200129&filterByKeyWord=windshield+wiper+blade&productId=570509&searchText=windshield+wiper+blade&categoryDisplayName=Routine+Maintenance&parentId=42-0

passenger : http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsProduct.jsp?itemIdentifier=570504_13679_0_2805&skuDescription=Rain-X+Weatherbeater+/+Wiper+Blade&brandName=Rain-X+Weatherbeater&displayName=Wiper+Blade&categoryNValue=&sortType=&store=5541&isSearchByPartNumber=&fromWhere=&fromString=&counter=2&itemId=129-0&navValue=14200129&filterByKeyWord=&productId=570504&searchText=&categoryDisplayName=&parentId=42-0

should i just buy the ones at auto zone or try to see if they have them at the dealer ship?

A: You can buy regular blades at an auto store, but the ones you get at Honda are much higher quality (made in Japan) and last so much longer! You can just buy the inserts if that’s want you need. Trust me, getting the blades at Honda are worth the extra time and money getting them!

Q: How do I replace my blower control switch in my 1997 honda accord?
I need to replace the blower control switch. I can only find how to replace the blower motor online and this is not what I need. Here is a link to the picture of what I need to replace. Any help is greatly appreiciated! http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?categoryDisplayName=Climate+Control&fromType=parts&fromString=search&parentId=cat30062&currentPage=1&filterByKeyWord=blower+control+switch&isSearchByPartNumber=false&navValue=15201030&categoryNValue=15299999&fromWhere=&itemId=prod61305&displayName=Blower+Control+Switch&searchText=blower+control+switch&_requestid=670784
The pin broke off that controls the speed, it connects to the speed control switch.

A: you did not say why you think you have to replace the switch. if the blower works at all or not. if not; its the switch: if it works only on high then it is the resister bank located inside the heater box, under the dash. gl. ps did you check the fuses? pps tap the blower motor a couple of times to make sure the problem is not the motor stuck in a dead spot. if it is, then its the motor.thanks for the extra info sorry i can’t help further gl.

Q: Sony Xplod 6”X9″ for honda accord 98 sedan?
my factory speakers got damaged due to mishandling….so i want to buy a new pair of speakers for my factory installed Stereo System…. i found these speakers in Walmart
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5700386
the specifications are
Sony Xplod 6″ x 9″ 4 Way Car Speaker:

    * Speaker:
o Coaxial 4-way
o Woofer: 16cm x 24cm (6 3/8″ x 9 1/2″) cone type
o Midrange: 5.5cm (2 1/4″) cone type
o Tweeter: 2.5cm (1″) balanced dome type
o Super Tweeter: 2.5cm (1″) balanced dome type
* Peak power: 270W
* Rated power: 50W
* Impedance: 4 Ohms
* Sensitivity: 93 dB/W/m
* Frequency response: 25-35,000 Hz
* Mass: Approx. 1,100g (2 lb. 7 oz.) per speaker
* Includes parts for installation

will these speakers will sound good as compared to original factory installed speakers….or is there anything else that i should buy….please advice me regarding this….

A: I actually had those speakers they arent the best speakers but they are decent, and they are also better then the stock honda speakers because honda just puts out crappy speakers in their car models but you should try and find something a lil better like pioneer, infinity, or alpine those are all good speakers. But if you are looking for more highs then lows sony is good because there is more treble than bass in their speakers. But look at the 3 that i stated above they are all good

Q: What cars have the same engine as mine?
Hello I have a 89 Honda Accord DX with the 2.0 L4 with the carberator, and a 5 speed manual transmission. I would like to put a turbo, new intake and possibly switch it over to be fuel injection. I look for this stuff online and in catalogs but my car isn’t one that many put stuff like that in. I would like to know What other cars of that year has the same Engine? So I won’t get a part for my car that don’t even fit the engine. I’m not putting the stuff in the car to race it. I just don’t like the power that it has It don’t have the power that I’m use to and I would like to match the power that I am use to. if you can help me thank you alot

A: Well to start your 89 Accord has the A20A1 engine. The 2.0 carbureted L4.

Needless to say your A-series engine is quite old and the only other cars with that engine are 86-89 Accords…that and the aftermarket support for the A-series is next to nothing.

If you wish to upgrade to the fuel injected model you will need to look for the A20A3. But I wouldn’t recommend that because finding a A-series engine that is 15 years old and in good condition is going to be hard.

My suggestion to you is this…since you want some decent power for your little Accord do a H22A engine swap from a later Prelude. You can find a H22 engine for roughly about $2,500 and it comes with the trans, ecu, ect…just about everything you’ll need for a swap.

What you will need is a Hasport engine mount kit, different axles, and a few othe odds and ends to make it function like a daily driver. If your paying a shop to do it for you, they will most likely take care of all this for you.

The H22 will most likely give you the power you want and the reliability of a daily driver. I also highly suggest to upgrade your suspension too…the H22 is going to be alot heavier than the little A20 you have in your car right now.

Good Luck

Q: Where can I order specific automotive electrical connectors for sensors etc.?
Automobile engines use a myraid of senors and electronically controlled devices. Many of which have unique connectors with multiple pins. In my case, I need the clip or plug that connects onto the Vehiclest Speed Sensor (VSS) for a 1995 integra. Trips to junkyards have been unsucessfull. Many used part retailers will not cut a plug from a good harness. According to my research the VSS used in integras from 1994-2001 were not used in other vehicles ( http://www.tomco-inc.com/Catalog/vehicle%20speed%20sensors.pdf ) . The oem part number is 78410-st7-003…. Who makes these connectors? Does anybody stock them? Honda/Acura will sell a compete haness for several hundred dollars. This particular one is hard to find on ebay. Which is where I acquired the damaged one I have now. I’ve tried to modify civic/accord plugs without success.

A: Well my friend, you have pretty much answered this question through your research. It is going to be very hard to find this connector by cutting it from the harness. In my experience, to get a certain connector, you will have to buy that section of the wiring harness either from the dealer or a salvage yard, which you have already stated that it can be costly or used auto part retailers would not cut the plug from a good harness. Salvage yards usually will not do that if the harness is good. When you are dealing with a vehicle’s wiring , your sources for replacement are very limited to either the dealer or salvage yard. Several years ago, vehicle sensors were made with a pigtail wiring so that if the plug became faulty, you could cut the plugs and still have enough wire from the sensor to splice it together with insulated connectors, now they make sensors where you have to plug directly into them, thus, elimating the pigtail wiring. The way these harness plugs are made now is so that the shadetree mechanic as well as mechanics like myself has to refer to the two sources mentioned above. It was basically a planned thing by the automaker so that they can keep the cash flow towards them instead of independent auto parts stores, in better terms, a dealer only replacement part.

Q: How to find cheap Honda car parts?
Hi, I have a broken tail light on my Honda Civic 2005 model. The light broken is the right side one on the body of the car. I tried to get it through some retails, but they said it’s like AUD350 the original Honda one. Does anyone know where to find a cheaper one, I don’t mind second hand or duplicate one? Many thanks.

A: grab your local yellow pages, look under” automobile parts-used “. call some people , see what they say.

Q: I have a honda reflex nss250 and need some front end part.Is there a motorcycle junkyard or cheap Honda parts?
I need a front fender, fairing and handle bars

A: Search the web for “motorcycle salvage”. There are millions.

either a honda civic(most likely) or accord
toyota corrolla
or a sentra or an altima

A: i would recommend the civic. good gas mileage, very reliable, good control, and when it comes to replacing parts for maintenance or for luxury, you have such a wide variety of brands to go with your car at so many prices that you’ll always get the best deals with a civic.

Q: How do I get a good Honda credit card (if one exists)?
What does it offer in regard to Honda? Discounts on car parts? Is it worth getting?

I am asking because I think Honda makes the best cars and I’ve been unable to find any good Honda rewards through use of a credit card.

A: I think only ford and GM offer good rewards cards and they only offer rewards towards buying a new respective car. looks like you are out of luck. The best discounts you can get are that of shopping around at both dealers and independent repair shops to have your regular maintenance and repairs done. Your dealer will charge alot more per hour on labor and parts than a local independent but respected repair shop might. If you go to walmart for example to buy your air filters and wiper blades, and learn to change them yourself, you will save significantly in the long run… check out the below link to see what services your manufactereur recommends performed for what mileage.. That way you can take your car to a respected auto repair shop and you will know exactly what services you want performed at what mileage so no unnecessary work is performed and you are not overcharged. good luck! even honda dealerships can charge too much on auto repair.

Q: Do know any online discount car parts stores?
I took my car to a honda dealership. They want $400 to fix a master switch in a 96′ Honda accord.
seems outrageous.

I am going to order the part from online. Know a good place to order it?

help!

A: Here are three. There are dozens more. Just as an FYI if they’re replacing the complete switch assembly the price for the part alone is about $150. Add a few hours labor to disassemble your steering column to get to the wiring and $400 might actually be a very fair price. Get some estimates at an independent garage who usually are a bit cheaper than a dealer.

Q: Replacing plug wires? Honda wires or Auto Parts wires?
I will be replacing the spark plugs wires on my 2000 Honda Civic EX (159,000) this week. I called Honda to get a price on the wires and they’re about 75 bucks. My dad works at an auto parts store and gets a very good discount. My question is…Is there really a difference between the Honda Wires and an Auto Parts wires? Will it be ok if I just get the wires from an auto parts store? There’s a huge difference in price and I’m not really wanting to spend much money at the moment. Thanks =)

A: Not really, if you get a good set of wires from an autoparts store it will pretty much be like OEM Honda ones anyways. Dealers love to charge you lots of $$$ for even the smallest things, (I remember needing a bolt and the dealer wanted $8 for it…… 49 cents at home depot) you should be good to go with wires you get through your dad. You can also check out http://www.sparkplugs.com they also sell wires.

Q: whats a great first car?
I’m getting my license in june, and I’ve arranged a deal with some family members who are going to help pay for a used car. my stepdad works at Honda, so if I get a Honda he can get discounted parts and I can get the car checked for free. but, whether it’s a Honda or not, does anyone have any suggestions for a great first car to own?
$6,000 is about the price I want to pay.

A: Honda’s are pretty good little cars. A Honda Civic isn’t a bad choice, they are great on gas and last forever, and if you can get discounted parts for it, thats even better.

Q: Where to buy parts for 2002 Land Rover Freelander?
I just bought the above vehicle and hear it is expensive to fix. What is the best way to by parts? I am not a mechanic by any means so I would have to have a dealer install. Now where is the x-factor. I have connections with the service manager at the local Honda dealer — where I purchased this vehicle for a great discount. He can buy the parts from Land Rover and sell them to me for cost + 10%. Is this the way to go, or is there ANOTHER means (eBay for example) that would be even cheaper?

A: Had you bought a real Land Rover ( Discovery, Defender etc) they are simple to repair and easy to work on.

Unfortunately the Freelander is more of a hybrid with BMW engines (notoriously unreliable) and not particularly user friendly.

Your dealer man would be your best option, and you will certainly find out shortly why that discount was so good.

Q: Can I expect any big discounts after new year for used honda civic from 2006 ( new shape)?????
I know honda is not (with all the respect) fiat that after one year price for a used car will drop down up to 40 %, but if today i have to pay for 1.4 se civic around 13 000 , how it will be in first part of the 2007??????????????????????

A: the civic is currently available for 13000 but it is difficult to expect the car in the second hand market so soon.. however the price should drop from 13 to say about 9.5(approx) in case you want to go in for a new car then go in the last days of dec to avail a good sum as discount in order to get the stock of 2006 sold out…

Q: Electrical or Alternator??
I was driving on the interstate, my lights went dim and my car died, replaced the battery and 3 days later car is dead again, went to discount auto parts had them check the alternator they said my alternator was fine, I have a 2000 Honda Civic LX. I was involved in a car accident less than 2 weeks ago and was hit on my drivers side where my door opens and she cracked my wheel cover, I have not had any problems with my car till now…so is it electrical??? or the alternator…..I got prices to get my alternator fixed:
Tire Plus: 350
Honda Dealer: 450

PLEASE HELP!!!
my car has not been fixed yet…still waiting on insurance check…
the battery is on the passenger side, i was hit on the drivers side..does that make a difference?
when the battery is charged i can start my car…when i idle the car dies but when running it wont die, 2 days ago…when i got my car to start..i drove it down the street and none of my gauges worked…the rpms or the odomiter.

A: If the alternator checked out fine, then the problem is that the battery is not charging. The reason it keeps dying is that you are running off of battery power, and not power generated by the alternator.

It works like this: when you start your car, the battery is the power source for the starter. As soon as the car is running, a relay will switch over to the alternator, which then provides all of the electrical power in addition to charging the battery. At that point, the battery is getting recharged, and not used as a source of power.

If this relay mechanism (it might be a bit more complicated than just a relay) is faulty, then you will constantly run on battery power.

Don’t go to a honda dealer, they’ll charge you more than double what it should take to fix this. Any decent local mechanic will be able to find this, it’s not a difficult problem. I’m betting the relay or a contact was jarred loose during the impact, but that’s just a cyber-diagnosis and I could be completely wrong.

Worst case will be, as one person wrote, a pinch in the wiring harness. This isn’t a difficult problem to diagnose, but actually fixing it could be time consuming and expensive, as you need to find exactly where the pinch is. Labor ain’t cheap.

Q: I’m going to paint my brake calipers, I need info on paint!?
I am gonna go to autozone/discount auto parts to price paints this week. I want either blue/silver paint, and I was wondering what to buy, what kinda paint. Then how long it usually takes for the paint to dry, cause I plan on doing the front first, then the rear afterwards. I have a 95 honda accord. I was already gonna tape off the areas I dont want paint on, but I didn’t know if the paint came in aerosol or just a bottle, info plz!

A: You’re gunna leave the calipers on when you paint them? Don’t worry about getting paint on the discs as that will soon come off the first time you use the brakes.

The paint comes in an aerosol can, but make sure the rattle has gone before you start spraying.

Q: With all this awareness of Global Warming… Is the Accord Hybrid even a contender to a civic H or Prius H?
I am in the new market and was going to buy either a G35 coupe or a Nissan Titan Truck… I knew that Global warming was a huge issue before but I would really like to do “my part,” even if it’s just a little bit…

I have been looking at the Accord Hybrid and I really like the fact that it has a lot of power to it, but does that sacrifice the “clean” part of being a hybrid. I have owned 3 generations of accords and love the company but I want a little change.

That is why I looked at other cars. I would only go back to Honda or Toyota just because I am really considering being a little bit eco-friendly.

The Civic Hybrid looks great and has great ratings. Honestly, I don’t like the style of the Prius and most likely just get a Civic I had the choice…

I don’t want to discount the Toyota Camry Either…

By the way, Gas mileage really doesn’t matter to my. I live about 5 minutes to my office.

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated… Thank You!!!

A: The Accord Hybrid isn’t enough better than the regular one to make a significant difference. It does make SOME difference, which is better than none.

If you really want to make a difference, then the Civic would be a better choice. A regular Civic is better, for the environment, than an Accord simply because it’s smaller.

Given the low number of miles you drive, it may not make a big difference what you get.

The benefit of getting a hybrid, even if you don’t drive much, is that it sends a message to the manufacturers that we want hybrids.

Q: Radiator has a crack in it, do you think replacing the hoses 5 months ago could have caused it?
5 months ago I had a shop replace all the hoses in my car, per their inspection and recommendation. Last week I noticed steam coming from my hood and I found coolant leaking from the top of my radiator. I thought it could be a leaky cap but later I saw a 3″ long horizontal crack in the upper part of the radiator just under the filler cap.

Do you think the mechanic could have caused this? I’m asking to see if I should pursue trying to get him to fix it for free or at least a discount.

My car is a 1996 Honda Accord with 134k miles. Thanks!

A: No, your radiator just failed.

Q: What are the names of cheap and reliable insurance companies and can I go to driver’s ed after getting a licns
I’m 17, about to turn 18 in April. I live in AZ, and drive my parent’s 99 ford expedition. I know, I hate SUVS. The worst part about it is that i’ll be using it to get to school. Whats more expensive to insure: (assuming they’re the same year and somewhat similiar) A cobalt/focus or honda civic? I just got my license yesterday. I’m eligible for the good student discount. My parents said that I can’t go to driving school after getting my license. I disagree. Will driver’s ed let me in? So yeah thats a grand total of 3 questions, haha.
Why do I want to take driver’s ed? For the discounts. I’m wondering is it worth it?

A: allied has good rates and you can call them and ask which car is cheaper to insure. hope this helps

Q: What’s the best car for a responsible teenager?
Okay so right now I just got my Driver’s handbook and am turning 16 in September. I think it’s time that I get a car. My mom wants to give me her old car which I know from experience isn’t reliable whatsoever. When I told her no and why she said I was so ungrateful. So I said I didn’t expect her to pay for it, I’d get a job and pay for it. So she told me no.

Now she’s talking about getting me a car.
I was thinking:
A Ford Edge
Suzuki XL-7
Mazda CX-9
Honda CR-V
GMC Acadia
Chevy Traverse
Chevy Equinox

Something like those because they’re not light on the ground and have high safety ratings. Also I have to take space into consideration. I have two sisters and 4 cousins that I would probably have to drive around on weekends. But I don’t want a minivan or van or pickup truck. I was thinking a crossover or an SUV. It just can’t be too big or bulky.

I’m still planning on getting a job this summer and maybe into school. I plan on paying for my own insurance, and setting aside $500 to $750 just in case something comes up with the car.

I’ve been able to maintain a 4.00 GPA my WHOLE school life. I’m ranked #2 in my Freshman class. I have never have to study a day in my life. So I don’t think that an after school job will really be much of a burden. Just in case it would be I plan only to work weekends but like 8-12 hours maybe? Every other weekend because I’m part of the debate team.

So I know I’ll be able to afford a car because of some already saved up money and I’m not thinking of a brand new one, just buying one off of an old family friend for an EXTREME discount.

Which car should I go with? Is there one not here that you think would make a better choice?
Thanks for all the help and not just with the whole car advice but with the insurance and other things. You all were a ginormous help.

A: Some of the SUV’s your looking at are serious family cars… i mean 7 passengers? thats a ton…

Your mazda Cx-9 is virtually built for the dad with a family. it gives him power. handling and just that jerk he can when he wants to get the kids to school faster. the CX-9 is based on power.

Of these i like the Honda CR-V i used to have a 2005, and i liked it. Though my friend had a honda element and he got better gas milage, (WAY BETTER) and it still sat a few. As for a “light” car… I imagine your worried about slipping off the road? heavier cars usually slip more… and also they are worse on gas. lighter cars dont blow away in the wind. cars now a days are built light, and more aerodynamic to help them stay firmly planted on the road. also lighter cars stop faster then heavier ones… seeing how there breaks and tires dont work as hard as the lighter cars do….

These cars are all very nice family SUV’s. Though if you are going to be driving 5 days out of the week by yourself. get something that for you… Id seriously look into a actual car. something you could enjoy. or instance a new Honda Civic. and you can still play taxi on the weekends. or, you could look into a volvo wagon. those usually sit a few more then your typical sedan. Im a firm believer that one should buy an suv if it wont be utilized fully. if it doesnt have.
1. A strong powerful engine
2. rock solid transmission
3. 4 wheel drive, or (AWD)
4. the “L” gear
5. high enough off the ground.
6. and of course, high safety features.

You dont want to just look at the seats and the safety features… seeing how they wont matter if the car is on recall or broke the majority of time.. look up the car reviews and they’ll often tell you the problems with the cars.. go test driving with your mother. she’ll also help you decide seeing how she has had more experience.

The best of luck.

Q: honda parts needed honda pro can answer question?
looking to buy original or after market power door lock system for honda civic all the website i found doesnt list these parts!
if anyone knows where to get this system direct me i can get from dealer but will not sell if its not installed by them!

A: myself i would go to the local honda junk yard and search through.

Q: I am trying to find a honda motorbike dealer who will sell me new parts for my 125cc bike?
the clock casing and headlight casing are damaged and i wondered if anybody knew how to get in touch with honda direct as i dont know the web address

A: The web address for Honda is www.powersports.honda.com
You can not buy directly from them, however they have a dealer locator on their site. You can also try www.denniskirk.com I buy alot of parts from there.

Q: I am trying to gind a honda motorbike dealer who will sell me new parts for my 125cc bike?
the clock casing and headlight casing are damaged and i wondered if anybody knew how to get in touch with honda direct

A: not honda direct but if you go to Honda’s website
http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/index.asp?bhcp=1
go to where it says “locate a dealer” & put in your zip code…it’ll show you the nearest authorized Honda dealers in your area.

Q: were can i find internal parts for a honda civic d15b2 engine?
direct links would be great

A: inside the engine

Q: I have finally decided what motor to swap into my ‘93 honda civic dx but was wondering if it will be direct.?
My d15b7 blew up and I will have swaped in a d15b vtec a local shop has recommended. My question is whether it will be a direct swap/bolt in or will some parts if i have to use my b7 parts and wiring not match up. Any suggestions? Thanks

A: you can save money by using your old wire harness and then just use a wire and connect them from your shock tower ecu plug pin for vtec and vtec pressure switch , then wire them up to vtec and vtec pressure switch
not hard you can do it yourself
you might need the d15b or d16z6 tranny as it designed for that motor
you can use your old tranny but it has different gear ratios in the tranny meaning you will lose performance to a true d15b or d16z6
good luck
if you need more help on swap or wiring let me know

Q: Bosch Oxygen Sensor – Direct OE Replacement, 4-wire?
I would like to replace a o2 sensor on my honda civic 2004 LX model, its before the catalytic converter. and I saw this part Bosch Oxygen Sensor – Direct OE Replacement, 4-wire (part # 13680). although its not a honda part is it ok to use it since its OE type? OR should you always go with the dealer and get the honda OEM part installed?
went ot auto zone got hte P0125 code and went to the repair shop and fouind out what i already mentioned
sorry its p0135 code

A: Oxygen sensors last the life of the vehicle in many cases. Your owner’s manual does not tell you that the oxygen sensors have to be routinely replaced as a maintenance item. If you get an oxygen sensor error code (yellow check engine light) that says the heater element has burned out, then you do need a new oxygen sensor. Otherwise, an engine performance problem is often the cause, not a bad oxygen sensor. What test have you performed that showed a bad oxygen sensor? You can easily damage the sensor’s manifold machined threads when trying to remove an oxygen sensor and end up with a lot more trouble than you bargained for.

Q: I need a guide on how to work on a 97 Honda Accord, in particular the steering wheel.?
I need to replace the turn signal switch/lever on a 97 Honda Accord. I imagine it will take some disassembly of the steering wheel area. I have never worked on this part of the car before and I was wondering if someone could direct me to a guide online, or if anyone could give me some tips on how to proceed.

A: if you will have to disconnect the air bag just disconnect the battery cable, there is nothing else to worry about, just proceed, it is only like replacing other part cause you will not have disassemble anything accept the covers

Q: Purchasing & Programming 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Remote?
I recently bought two Honda remotes, P/N 38010-S5A-A Tx: 72147-S5A-A for use with my 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid, but I haven’t had any luck programming it in. Ron Tonkin Honda says they will program it for free, so I took it in, but the service clerk said these remotes aren’t compatible. Later, when I called their parts department, the parts lady said the transmitter number (Tx: above) matches what they have on file.

Can anyone help confirm if this is the correct part number, and also direct me to the programming instructions? I tried what was quoted to me from the 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid service manual, but it’s not working. I have feeling the service clerk was just a lazy bungalo hole.

Thanks in advance!!!

A: That’s the right part. Make sure you try a second RKE (remote keyless entry) unit and also verify with the dealer if your keyless receiver is installed/working.

Q: honda civic 2009 part needed?
i need the door lock system for a civic 2009!
ebay doesnt have oem system i dont want trhe universal that yoiu have to make holes everywhere just the original honda or aftermarket that will fit just right!
please direct me to the right web site wich i cant find!

A: This place has everything for less than any Honda dealer http://www.collegehillshonda.com/

Q: I have a 2005 CRF450r and would like to know if plastic from a 2008 would fit.?
I’m interested in a complete kit in order to change the color (from red/white to black) and the graphics. The graphics kit I like only comes in 07-08. Most websites have it listed as ranging from 05-08, an almost equal amount list it from 05-06, and then 07-08. Honda direct has different part numbers for every year bike making my local dealer useless (I tried). Has anybody out there used 05-08 plastic/graphics or 07-08 plastic/graphics on a 2005 bike?

A: CRF450R 2002-2008, CRF450X 2005-2009 so 09 fits 05, 06,07,08? same with R

A: dont trust ebay turbos. in order to get your self a good turbo setup that wont destroy ur motor. get ur self some with a brand. i have a prelude with a h22a4 and this is my list of parts.

h22 turbo manifold
Garrett t3/t4 super 60.
tial waste-gate (internal spring at 9psi)
tial blow off valve
aem fuel rail
aem fuel pressure regulator
walbro 255 fuel pump
450cc fuel injectors
hondata s200
chipped p28 ecu

that’s pretty much it for all the major parts, make sure u do not boost over 9psi because the h22s have a high compression ratio and if u boost any higher then 9psi then you will damage your motor internally. and once an h22 in damaged internally the motor is pretty much done with, because the cylinder walls are made up of nylon and carbon fiber and some other light weight fibers, and once there damaged the only way to repair it is if you bore it out, then you’ll have to get different pistons and a lot of other annoying B.S. For the exhaust system u can just get any cat back that has good flow. hope this helps, if u have any other questions just let me now

Q: My boyfriend was wondering if anyone would like to trade a 53 Desoto and an 89 Honda Accord for a old Harley.?
My boyfriend has a 53 Desoto and an 89 Honda Accord and he’s wanting to trade them in for any older Harley. He doesn’t care what size or what shape, as long as it runs and isn’t badly dinged up.

The Honda has good all season tires and only needs struts.
The Desoto has been garage kept most of its life. Is in nice condition but needs painted. Runs good. All original parts. Hemi V8. Title avail. on both.

His father is getting older and would love to do this for his father. His dad is an old biker, but sold the bike for a horse for his wife who just left him cuz he wanted to have a few beers with his son.

If anyone could help me or direct me in the general direction I would greatly appreciate it.

A: E mail me direct at chopperchopster@yahoo.com got a panhead we might be able to make a deal

Q: Anyone worked on latest Civic and Corolla engines?
Hi there,
I am directing this question to all those mechanics who worked on Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla petrol engines.
I want to know which one is built with higher quality standards and with passion. I know they are simple 4 cylinder engines but I want to know which company is making the best engines with the highest quality parts.
When you open any of these two engines, what is the thing that makes you admire the most. These two engines are the most reliable in the automotive world and I am just curious about their unique features which makes them standout in the crowd.

Thanks for answering.

A: That is Honda. Honda is the best. I recently read in a magazine that the Honda Accord holds the title for most reliable car in the world.

And I worked in the car business and as a part time mechanic.

Honda pretty much never has any problems.

Honda makes more futuristic looking cars and they are better looking and more fun to drive.

Toyota makes smoother and quieter rides, which makes them boring for me.
Honda engines also rev higher and have vtec.

Q: Trying to get an unused mower working again. Having a bit of a problem. Can you help?
I moved into a home where the previous owner left quite a few things for me because he did not need there where he was moving. One of those things is a push mower. It’s a Honda GCV160, has overhead cam so seems to be a decent mower. It looks in pretty decent condition except for the blade underneath is quite rusted. I put gas in it, oil in it and sprayed WD40 in all the turning parts just to see if we can get it going cuz looks like he hasn’t used in in awhile(spiderweb galore). When I try to start it, it turns and sounds pretty clean but doesnt fire up. Could it be the sparkplug (it looks darn clean though)? Or is it something else? Side note question- He left two leaf blowers also (also in shed covered in spiderwebs and both are HomeLite brands) that have almost the exact same problem (except i used the oil/gas mixture as directed), sounds good turning but just can’t get it to start. Help?

A: First, disconnect the spark plug lead and check for compression. You should be able to feel compression when you pull the starter rope. If you have compression remove the spark plug and reconnect the lead. firmly ground the body of the plug to the engine block and pull the starter rope. you should see a bright blue spark. if you have no spark try and new (not just different) plug–at this point you can use pretty much any spark plug). If the new plug gives you a bright blue spark replace your old plug with the new one and it should start. if you have no spark you have some sort of ignition system problem and would need to replace or adjust the module/magneto. If you have spark and compression and it still won’t start you have a fuel problem. replace any filters. check hoses to make sure they haven’t collapsed or deteriorated. finally you can try to start it using starter fluid. if it starts with starter fluid then you have a carburator problem and will need to rebuild the carburator. good luck! NOTE: AT ALL TIMES MAKE SURE NOTHING YOU WANT TO KEEP ATTACHED TO YOUR BODY EVEN GETS CLOSE TO BLADE.

Q: I’ve bought a motorbike for parts, but it has no reg. number. Can I find this out from the VIN or engine no.?
It’s a Honda xl600lm. only bought for engine and suspension, but now wondering if I can discover its Reg no somehow so I can put it back on the road?
I have a frame number but it seems a little short. I also have the engine number. Is there anyone out there who can provide me with the Reg number from these or direct me to someone who can? I do recall seeing someone offer this service on a forum somewhere…….
I tried an online check but they said I couldn’t do this through them.
Thanks for any info.

A: Go to your local honda dealers and give them the vin number, they will be able to tell you if it a proper and complete number and if it has been registered before.
If it has then get a vehicle document application form from the post office and fill it in with all the relative details, send it off and 2-5 weeks later you will get the form back with the reg on it and its already in your name when you want to tax it to put it back on the road .
