A: I don’t know. I couldn’t find any so I bought a new 2007 FIT. It is cute but really not enough car and doesn’t get anywhere the gas mileage they promised. I can’t wait to unload it and get something bigger than a lawnmower. I will never buy Honda again.

A: Probably because people who own them don’t want to sell them and people who want them find them before you do (supply and demand).

Is it cheaper and effective to get warranty through dealer? or online sites, like http://www.warrantydirect.com/. If I bought the vehicle from individual sales (not through dealer) then will it still be cheaper and effective to get warranty through them?
I know that most warranty won’t cover vehicle that has got milage beyond 100k.
A: There are so many ways to go with extended warranties that it is really your decision…benefits offered and prices vary all up and down the scale, so it would be best for you to look at as many as you “want” to, and compare the coverages/restrictions vs. prices…
You might try searching for a warranty comparison site too, I think they are out there in the ether world…
And yes, there are warranties over 100,000 miles, you just have to find them…

A: I have a Honda Civic and I love it! You can adjust the seats, the steering wheel, and the head rest. My Honda is good on gas and an excellent car for traveling.

I recently found a used 2000 Honda Civic DX Hatchback for sale in Northern VA and I’d just like to know if $4,450 is a fair price to pay? Here are some details:

Great condition all around
My brother told me that with it being a Honda that even at 115,000 miles it probably still has another 350,000+ miles to go. Does that sound right? I heard people joke about how a used Honda or Toyota with 150,000 miles will last longer and are also better investments than a new Ford/Chevy. Any truth to this? Anyway, I’d appreciate any advice you folks could give me on this.
A: That is a good deal. If you were looking at this car on a carlot here it would be about 6,000. I say go for it and it is a Honda, so you will have many miles if its in as good of shape as it sounds. good luck

Q: Sales Tax on buying a used vehicle from private seller – to high – appeal?
I bought a used honda civic 97 lx. I paid 2400 for it. When I went to the RMV they charged me $165 for the vehicle (so their value would be 3300). The vehicle is definitely not worth 3300. The door is broken. There is rust. And some cosmetic damage.
Anyone to appeal the sales tax? I live in MA.
A: Lots of states are doing this because they have lost out on tax money from people under reporting the value of the cars to pay less sales tax.
visit a few online websites that appraise cars. Try www.edmunds.com, www.cars.com, www.nada.com. Print out their values for your 97 civic. Use poor condition. Also take pictures of the car as well. take one of the VIN number so they know it is the car you bought and not some switcheroo.

A: The shipping cost itself to a Japanese port form a US (LA area) port is $1,200 according to Jspec Works web page.
The opposite direction from Japan to US may be similar cost.
And overall order cost (incl. custom clearance etc.) may be around $5,000 in addition to the vehicle price.
I think it is not bat idea to contact the company who work for importing car to US form Japan to get a estimate.

Q: Buy a £550 Honda Civic!?
I have a black M reg 1995 1.4 elec pack Honda Civic hatchback for sale. It has done about 118000 miles, full service history, mot till January 2008. It will be taxed for 6 months. I have used it most days for work and it has never let me down. Cam belt has been changed. There is no problem i know of with the car; the exhaust has just been serviced and i have put a new tyre on. I havent advertised it yet, just seeing if i get a response here!

A: I would have to say you don’t have a chance. Only if that dealership was doing extremely bad and even then they probably wouldn’t. According to kelly blue book that cars suggested retail is around what they are asking and trade in is probably about 9000. They arn’t going to let it go for for what they got it for even witch cash. I would say $11,000 is a better estimate of what they would go for but by no means am I an expert on the subject. It’s always worth a try. The worst they can say is no.
Q: Looking at a civic, Fusion or mazda 3, please help!!?
hi, i am looking at a few cars for myself and for my parents. They want a car to get me to and from work and when i am not using it they want to use it. They would like to keep the bill around $15k. i have test driven a Ford Fusion, Mazda 3 and a Honda Civic. I was also looking at the Vw jetta 2.0 but for some reason there are none in the northeast so that car is not an option.
Which of the three cars is the most reliable and would be the funnest to drive without giving up comfort. My dad is 6′2” and we normally drive around with 4 people total in the car so we want a comfortable car.
I am confused because they all have good qualities and the prices are darn near the same, so i dont know what to do. Thanks for any help.
I was going to buy new but i did Find one honda that was used for sale near me. It is a 2006 Honda Civic Lx auto, excellent condition, power everything. The only negative is it has 38k on it. The owner (a women) drives it 90miles round trip a day. Help appriciated
i don’t really want a diesel car as the price to fix them is slightly higher and starting them in the winter by me is a real pain. I think Vw is going to be a touch more on the expensive side also.
